PSEB Class 8 Result 2025 declared: Hoshiarpur boy scores perfect 100% ; check toppers list

PTC Web Desk: The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) on Friday declared the results for the Class 8 examination for the academic session 2024-2025. This year, a total of 290,471 students from 10,471 schools appeared for the examination, out of which 282,627 students have been promoted, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 97.30%.
As per the declared results, Puneet Verma, son of Ashok Verma and Neetu Verma (Roll No. 8025370012) from Shri Guru Harkrishan Public School, A-225, Chief Khalsa Diwan, Model Town, Hoshiarpur, secured the first position by scoring a perfect 100%.
Navjot Kaur, daughter of Karanjit Singh and Veerpal Kaur (Roll No. 8025227565) from Sant Mohan Das Memorial Senior Secondary School, Kot Sukhia, Faridkot, also secured 100% marks and ranked second. As per PSEB rules, in case of a tie, the younger student is given a higher rank in the merit list.
The third position was secured by another Navjot Kaur, daughter of Gurmej Singh and Kuljeet Kaur (Roll No. 8025111174) from Guru Nanak Public Senior Secondary School, Channan Ke (Adda Nath Di Khui), Amritsar, who scored 99.83%.
While announcing the results, Chairman Dr Amarpal Singh said the board examinations were conducted with greater stringency and transparency this year. He further stated that several measures would be taken to enhance the quality of question papers and improve the curriculum to make future board examinations more effective and meaningful.
The complete details of the results have been uploaded on the Punjab School Education Board’s official website www.pseb.ac.in and www.indiaresults.com. Students who were unable to qualify for promotion will have the opportunity to appear for the supplementary examination scheduled for June 2025. The relevant students will need to fill out separate forms for this exam, and the detailed schedule will be communicated through the respective school logins and newspaper notifications.

Enter the roll number and other required details.
Click on ‘Submit’, and the result will be displayed on the screen.
