Naib Tehsildar recruitment scam: Patiala Police arrested another candidate selected for the post of Naib Tehsildar conducted by the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) and 12th rank holder Lovepreet Singh.
According to sources, accused Lovepreet Singh has secured 12th rank in the recruitment examination.

Lovepreet Singh was called by the police for the ongoing investigation by the CIA staff in Patiala. After interrogation, the police arrested him on the basis of the evidence found against him.
As per the sources, three candidates among eight have been arrested so far in naib tehsildar scam.
Earlier also Patiala police arrested two persons in the naib tehsildar recruitment scam on Friday, including the second rank holder.
Balraj Singh came second in the exam, the results of which were announced by the Punjab Public Service Commission in October (PPSC).
Verinderpal Chaudhry, who was ranked 21st on the merit list, has also been arrested by the police.
Balraj had previously failed to clear two PPSC exams.
"During interrogation, he admitted to striking a deal to secure the job through a Haryana-based racket," police official informed.
He stated that a report was shared with higher authorities in which it was duly verified that the exam was rigged using cutting-edge technology, some of which were most likely manufactured in China.
