Monsoon withdraws from parts of Punjab, Haryana

A low-pressure system has formed over Westcentral Bay of Bengal and the surrounding Northwest Bay off the coastlines of north Andhra and south Odisha as a result of cyclonic circulation in the Central Bay of Bengal. A shear zone runs roughly across North Peninsular India between middle and upper tropospheric levels above mean sea level, heading southward.
The IMD bulletin did not specify if the monsoon would recede from more locations on Wednesday.
On Monday, heavy to very heavy rainfall (6.5 cm to 20.5 cm) fell in isolated areas of Gujarat Region, West Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Coastal Karnataka, North Interior Karnataka, Madhya Maharashtra, and East Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Marathwada, Konkan, Goa, Assam & Meghalaya, Odisha, Rayalaseema, Kerala, and Mahe.
Meanwhile, isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall is very likely over northwest India, with the exception of east Uttar Pradesh, On September 28, East Uttar Pradesh is anticipated to have isolated heavy to very heavy rains. Isolated heavy rainfall is expected over Himachal Pradesh on September 26; Uttarakhand on September 26 and 27; East Uttar Pradesh until September 29; and West Uttar Pradesh on September 28.
