Jalandhar: In a proactive move, the Counter Intelligence of Jalandhar busts an inter-state weapon smuggling racket with the arrest of 2 smugglers along with 6 illegal pistols & 7 magazines.
The investigations reveal that the racket was working in a well-oiled manner and had procured 4 large weapon consignments in last 6 months.
Two important module members identified are yet to be arrested and have been nominated for supplying weapons to gangsters.
FIR under Arms Act has been registered at SSOC Amritsar and Investigations on-going to establish backward & forward linkages.
