Former CM Beant Singh's son ordered to vacate govt house
Chandigarh, February 8: The Chandigarh administration issued an ordered to Tej Parkash Singh, son of former Chief Minister Beant Singh to vacate government house allotted to him in Sector 5, Chandigarh.
The ordered was issued by sub-divisional magistrate Sanyam Garg wherein he issued instructions to vacate government’s residence.

A team from the enforcement wing of the Estate Office was sent to Beant Singh’s house to get the house vacated but failed to do so.
The Estate team was sent back from the gate by the security official deployed at the house.
Security official resisted the move and the team had to return empty handed.
As the action was started by team of estate officer, Beant Singh’s son filed a petition in the court expressing objection to it.
Notably, the government house was allotted to former Punjab Minister Beant Singh many years ago. Beant Singh was killed in terrorist attack after which kin of Beant Singh have been allotted a house.
