Punjab Weather Update: Dense fog alert issued for 15 districts of Punjab, Chandigarh

The forthcoming weather in Punjab and Chandigarh is likely to be dry with no predictions of rainfall. The residents are likely to experience a drop in the temperature with dense fog.

Residents of Punjab and Chandigarh are set to experience dense fog with visibility expected to drop below 50 meters as as the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for foggy conditions for the next three days. However, there is no forecast for rain during this period. 


The forthcoming weather in Punjab and Chandigarh is likely to be dry with no predictions of rainfall. The residents are likely to experience a drop in the temperature with dense fog. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature will drip by 2 to 3 degree celsius.


With the activation of western disturbance at Pakistan-Iran border, alert for snowfall and heavy rainfall in the northern hilly areas has also been issued.


With no respite from toxic smog, the air quality of Chandigarh remained worse in comparison to many party of Punjab. Despite considerate decline in stubble burning cases, the AQI remains a matter of conern.
