Chandigarh MCM student 'falls' from second floor of college building, dies
Chandigarh, May 3: A BA second year student at MCM College, Sector 36, Chandigarh, died allegedly after falling from the second floor of the college building on Wednesday.
Students of the college and members of the college management immediately took her to the PGI, Chandigarh, where she died during the treatment. The deceased has been identified as Ananya, a resident of Sector-37, Chandigarh.
She had come to the college to take her Punjabi exam, which was scheduled for 2pm.
Mukesh, father of the deceased, said they had breakfast together after which he left for Ludhiana for some work. The mother of Ananya was inconsolable.
According to the college management, there was no such thing in their notice that could show that she was mentally disturbed by something.
Investigation Officer Kuldeep Singh said a case had been registered and further investigation was on.
