Chandigarh heatwave: Chandigarh is bracing for extreme heat on Saturday, with temperatures expected to reach 45 degrees Celsius.

This prediction comes amid a weather pattern that has seen temperatures significantly above normal, with yesterday's maximum recorded temperature reaching 44 degrees Celsius, a 5.0 degree Celsius difference from the seasonal average.

Today's minimum temperature was 28.4 degrees Celsius, which is 2.0 degrees Celsius higher than the average minimum.

There has been no rainfall in the 24 hours before today's forecast, indicating that the region is experiencing dry weather.

Residents should take precautions against the extreme heat, as clear skies are expected to persist for the next few days.

The seven-day weather forecast predicts that the city will experience consistently high temperatures, with maximums ranging from 45.0 to 46.0 degrees Celsius until June 18.

Starting June 19, there may be a slight shift to partly cloudy skies, with the possibility of rain or thunderstorms beginning June 20th.

As Chandigarh prepares for potentially record-breaking heat, officials advise the public to stay hydrated, avoid outdoor activities during peak hours, and be cautious of heat-related illnesses.
