BSF recovers over 2 kg heroin from Pakistani drone in Punjab's Tarn Taran

Tarn Taran (Punjab), December 5: The BSF recovered one packet of suspected heroin from a Pakistani drone on the intervening night of December 5 and 6, officials informed on Tuesday.
According to information received, troops of BSF Punjab Frontier intercepted a Pakistani drone in the Tarn Taran district. During the initial search, BSF recovered 1 packet suspected to be heroin weighing approximately 2.470 kg from Indian territory near the village Kalia in Tarn Taran.
Earlier on Monday, BSF recovered a drone along with a packet of heroin near the India-Pakistan border in Punjab’s Amritsar.
The BSF troops fired in the direction of drone after hearing the buzzing sound near Roranwala Kalan village around 2:35 am. Later, while searching the area, troops discovered a broken quadcopter and a packet of narcotics, according to officials.
