Blasphemy case: Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim files petition in HC

Chandigarh, December 5: Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh has filed a petition in Punjab and Haryana High Court in connection to the Faridkot blasphemy case.

According to the petition filed by Ram Rahim's lawyer, the government is failing to provide the petitioner with the necessary documents.

Notably, the case is being heard in Faridkot's district court. Following that, the High Court issued instructions, directing the Punjab government to provide Ram Rahim with all documents related to the case.

Meanwhile, the Dera chief had sought a CBI investigation into the blasphemy case. Following that, the Punjab and Haryana high court asked the Centre and the CBI to submit their reply to a plea filed by Ram Rahim Singh.
