Bank security guard opens fire in Mohali, one injured

In a shocking incident, a security guard at Union Bank in Majra village, Mullapur police station, Mohali opened fire and injured one person. The injured person is currently receiving treatment at PGI Chandigarh, where his condition is said to be serious.

Police have arrested the accused, Gurinder Singh, and are questioning him to learn more about the incident. Authorities are also recording the victim's statements to better understand the events that led up to the shooting.

According to police sources, the victim is from Mani Majra village. He had gone with his mother, who has an account at the Union Bank branch, to withdraw money. When the gate did not open, the victim and the security guard got into a heated argument. The situation worsened, and the security guard discharged his weapon, injuring the victim.

The police arrived at the hospital to take the victim's statement as part of their investigation.
