The woman, Archana Makwana, performed 'Shirshasan' in the temple on June 21 to commemorate International Yoga Day and shared photos of it on social media, which went viral, sparking criticism, abuses, and death threats.
Few days ago, the Amritsar Police issued a notice to her, and the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has registered an FIR against her, escalating her troubles
The FIR under Section 295-A (deliberate and malicious intention to offend the religious feelings of any class) of the Indian Penal Code was launched after the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) filed a complaint with Amritsar Police against the fashion designer.
A recent video of Archana Makwana is going rounds on Internet in which Archana said that when she performed a 'Shirsaasan' at the Golden Temple on June 21, many devotees were present and observed without raising any objections.

She expressed surprise that someone from abroad took offence at her photos, stating, "Nobody's sentiments were hurt at that time. I didn't feel I was doing anything wrong."
She added, "If anyone had objected, I would have promptly deleted all the pictures."
