ACC empanelled 53 IPS officers for holding posts at Centre on Deputation
Chandigarh, February 10: The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the empanelment of 20 IPS officers of DGP levels and 33 IPS officers of ADGP level for posting at Centre on Deputation.
The order issued by Government of India Ministry of Home Affairs reads, “The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved empanelment of the following Indian Police Service officers of 1992 and 1994 Batch for holding the posts at the Centre at level mentioned against their name.”

Punjab’s DGP Gaurav Yadav of batch 1992 and 5 senior IPS officers from Punjab -Anita Punj, SS Srivastava, Parveen Kumar Sinha, Amardeep Singh Rai all of 1994 batch are among the 33 IPS officers who have been selected for the Additional Director general (ADG) or Additional director General Equivalent (ADGE) level postings at Centre on Deputation.
Currently Parveen Kumar Sinha is holding additional charge of ADGP/Cybercrime and ADGP NRI.
SS Srivastava is ADGP Security, AS Roy is ADGP Traffic and Anita Punj is Director of Punjab Police Academy Phillaur.
The emplacement basically means that all the 53 IPS officers are now eligible to be appointed at Central agencies like Research and Analysis Wing, Central Bureau of Investigation, Intelligence Bureau, National Investigation Agency, National Security Guard, Special Protection Group and paramilitary forces Border Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, Central Industrial Security Force, Assam Rifles and Sashastra Seema Bal, etc.
