PSPCL Recruitment 2022: PSPCL increases posts of Assistant Lineman to 2,000
Patiala, September 03: Punjab State Power Corporation Limited on Friday issued a notification stating that PSPCL has increased the number of Assistant Linemen vacancies to 2000 by increasing 310 vacancies from 1690. Not only this, PSPCL has also reduced qualifying marks for the online examination which was earlier 30 per cent for general category and 25 per cent for reserved category, to 25 per cent for general category and 20 per cent for reserved category. Office:- PSEB, The Mall, Patiala - 147001 CIN: U40109PB2010SGC033813 (www.pspcl.in) Olo Chief Engineer/HRD (Recruitment Section) Corrigendum No. 01 Date: 02.09.2022 PSPCL has increased the number of vacancies to 2000 by increasing 310 vacancies from 1690 vacancies of Assistant Linemen under CRA 299/22 and the qualifying marks in the online examination which was earlier 30 per cent for general category and 25 per cent for reserved category, reducing it to 25 per cent for general category and 20 per cent for reserved category. Candidates are advised to keep checking PSPCL website for more details.” Earlier, unemployed Assistant Linemen had launched protest against Punjab government, demanding that the recruitment of 1690 assistant lineman posts by PowerCom be canceled on the basis of merit of apprenticeship as before. There was also a demand of increasing the 1,690 assistant lineman posts to 3,500. Apart from this, the organization was also demanding to increase the age from 37 years to 42 years in the posts of 1690 (now 2,000) assistant linemen. -PTC News with inputs from Gagandeep Ahuja
