PSEB Class 12th Result 2020 declared; Girls outshine boys

Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has declared the results for Class 12 board exams 2020 on Tuesday. In PSEB Class 12th results 2019, the pass percentage was recorded at 86.41 percent. A total of 2,65,449 students appeared as regular candidates and 20,229 students appeared in the open category. The Government schools have outscored Private schools for the second time. The government schools have 94.32 percent as against 91.84 percent of Affiliated schools and 87.04 percent of Associated schools. The government schools have done even better than Govt. Aided Private Schools by more than 3 percentage points. The pass percentage of the rural area is better at 93.39 percent as compared to urban areas at 91.96 percent. The performance of the girls' students is better than boys. The last year's result was 86.41 percent. The educational institutions have been closed since the coronavirus pandemic hit the nation. Likewise, there has been no information about the opening of schools in the state.
