PTC News Desk: In a significant political development, former MLA NK Sharma has resigned from the Shiromani Akali Dal, vacating all party posts. The move follows a number of similar actions by other party leaders who are backing Sukhbir Singh Badal after his resignation from the post of party president.

Sharma added in his announcement, "I have complete faith in the vision and leadership of Sukhbir Singh Badal." His comment highlights the party's growing support for Sukhbir Badal's leadership amid ongoing political challenges.

Earlier, Sarabjit Singh Jhinjer, president of the Youth Akali Dal, expressed support for Sukhbir Singh Badal and announced his resignation. He stated that if Sukhbir Singh Badal's resignation is accepted, the working committee should accept his resignation as well.

Bhupinder Singh Bhinda, SAD district president (urban), has also resigned in the wake of former Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal's resignation.

Sukhbir Singh Badal resigned as President of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Saturday to allow for the election of a new leader. The resignation follows internal disagreement and criticism of Badal's leadership, which included being labelled "tankhaiya" by the Akal Takht for alleged religious misconduct while his party was in power.
