Punjab serves notices on five former ministers; tells them to handover official bungalows to PWD
With the induction of the new ministers, the total strength of the Punjab Cabinet has now increased to 16
PTC Web Desk: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab has issued notices to five former ministers, instructing them to vacate their official bungalows. These bungalows are to be allocated to the newly appointed ministers in the Punjab Cabinet.
The administrative officer of the Punjab Civil Secretariat has sent notices to former ministers Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, Chetan Singh Jauramajra, Balkar Singh, Brahm Shankar Jimpa, and Anmol Gagan Mann, asking them to vacate their government accommodations. According to the notice, they are required to hand over the bungalows to the Public Works Department within 15 days of their removal from office, allowing the newly appointed ministers to take possession.
The Punjab Government recently inducted five new ministers into its Cabinet. These are Tarunpreet Singh, Barinder Goyal, Hardeep Singh Mundia, Dr Ravjot Singh and Mohinder Bhagat. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann met the newly appointed ministers on Tuesday to discuss the functioning of their respective departments.
With the induction of the new ministers, the total strength of the Punjab Cabinet has now increased to 16. Among the new appointees, two belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) community, two are Jat Sikhs, and one hails from the Bania community. Following the removal of Anmol Gagan Mann, only one female minister remains in the Cabinet.
