Lok Sabha poll results: At least four candidates are set to become the youngest members of Parliament (MPs) after winning the Lok Sabha elections.

Lok Sabha poll results: At least four candidates are set to become the youngest members of Parliament (MPs) after winning the Lok Sabha elections. These four candidates are Pushpendra Saroj and Priya Saroj of the Samajwadi Party and Shambhavi Choudhary and Sanjana Jatav of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) and Congress, respectively.

Sanjana Jatav


Sanjana Jatav secured the Bharatpur constituency in Rajasthan. The 25-year-old defeated BJP candidate Ramswaroop Koli by a margin of 51,983 votes.

She also ran in the 2023 Assembly elections but lost to BJP candidate Ramesh Khedi by 409 votes. Sanjana is married to Kaptan Singh, a Rajasthan Police policeman.

Shambhavi Choudhary


Shambhavi Choudhary is the daughter of Bihar Minister Ashok Choudhary. The 25-year-old won from the Samastipur constituency, Congress' Sunny Hazari by a comfortable margin. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had previously praised Shambhavi as the NDA's youngest candidate during a campaign rally.

Pushpendra Saroj


Pushpendra Saroj entered politics as an SP candidate for the Kaushambi parliamentary seat, which had previously been held by the BJP. He won by defeating current BJP MP Vinod Kumar Sonkar by 103,944 votes.

Pushpendra is the son of Inderjit Saroj, a five-time MLA and former Uttar Pradesh minister.

Priya Saroj


Priya Saroj won the Machhlishahr seat with 35,850 votes. She was put up against Bholanath, a sitting BJP MP. Priya is the daughter of Toofani Saroj, a three-time MP.
