New Delhi, May 25:  Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday exercised his franchise during the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024. After casting his vote, Kejriwal said he voted against "inflation and unemployment" as he addressed supporters outside a polling booth in the national capital. Voting for all seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi took place on Saturday.

Arvind Kejriwal, currently out on interim bail until June 1 after challenging his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate in the Supreme Court in the Delhi excise police case, cast his vote along with his family, including his wife Sunita, for Congress candidate Jai Prakash Aggarwal.

"My father, wife, and both my children voted. Unfortunately, my mother could not join us today as she is very ill. I have voted against inflation and unemployment," Kejriwal told reporters. He also urged voters to brave the heat and ensure they cast their votes. "I want to appeal to all the voters that even though it is very hot, do not sit at home. Please cast your vote," he added.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha mentioned earlier that Kejriwal would support the Congress candidate, while Congress leader Rahul Gandhi would vote for the AAP candidate.
