Lok Sabha elections 2024: Congress fields Kulbir Singh Zira from Khadoor Sahib, Raja Warring from Ludhiana in Punjab

Mohali, April 29: The Congress party on Monday unveiled its third list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Punjab. 

As per the list, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has emerged as the party's choice for the Gurdaspur constituency.  For the Khadoor Sahib constituency, the Congress has nominated Kulbir Singh Zira. In Anandpur Sahib, the Congress has placed its faith in Vijay Inder Singla.

Meanwhile, in Ludhiana, the Congress has chosen Amrinder Singh Brar, popularly known as Raja Warring, to contest the upcoming lok Sabha elections 2024.

Amrinder Singh Brar, popularly known as Raja Warring, has ascended through the ranks to become a formidable force in Punjab politics. His tenure as the president of the Indian Youth Congress coupled with three consecutive MLA victories from the Gidderbaha constituency underscore his unwavering influence within the state.

Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa

Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, equipped with educational credentials from a government school and SD College Chandigarh, has traversed a path marked by political prominence. As a three-time MLA from the Dera Baba Nanak constituency and a brief stint as the Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab, Randhawa's leadership prowess resonates widely.

Vijay Inder Singla 

Vijay Inder Singla, with an educational journey spanning from Yadavindra Public School, Patiala, to BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore, brings a fusion of academic acumen and political astuteness to the table. His tenure as an MP from the Sangrur Lok Sabha Constituency and subsequent MLA victories further underscore his multifaceted contributions to Punjab's political landscape.

Kulbir Singh Zira

Kulbir Zira served as the vice-president of the Punjab Youth Congress and subsequently clinched the MLA seat from the Zira Constituency.
