Logo of INDIA to be unveiled soon: Logo of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) is likely to be unveiled on August 31, Congress leader Ashok Chavan said on Saturday.

Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Chavan stated that 26 to 27 parties are expected to attend the third meeting of the newly formed opposition alliance on August 31 in Mumbai.

"Around 26 to 27 parties will participate in the meeting. An informal gathering will be held on the evening of August 31 in Mumbai and a formal meeting on September 1. So far, two meetings have been organised so in this third meeting the next agenda will be discussed. We are deciding to make a common logo and it may get unveiled on August 31," Chavan said while addressing a press conference in Mumbai.

Earlier, Congress Leader PL Punia stated that the nominees for the INDIA bloc's Prime Minister will be determined when the alliance wins the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

"INDIA alliance has decided that the Prime Minister will be decided after coming to power. The elected MPs will choose the PM,' Congress stated.

INDIA, also known as the 'Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance,' is an alliance of 26 opposition parties that includes the Congress. The parties have come together to oppose PM Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and prevent it from securing a third consecutive term at the Centre in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The joint opposition met for the first time on June 23 in Patna, Bihar, and for the second time on July 17-18 in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The third meeting is scheduled for August 31-September 1 in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
