Lok Sabha Polls 2024: Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections 2024 which is all set to take place in seven phases, stating from April 19 and results for Lok Sabha elections will be announced on June 4, Aam Aadmi Party unveiled six major poll promises. 

The Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal unveiled six major promises for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, emphasising the transformation he envisions for India.

Delhi CM Kejriwal’s poll promises message was presented by his wife Sunita Kejriwal at a large Opposition rally at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan which pledges granting full statehood to Delhi and providing free healthcare nationwide.

The event, named "Loktantra Bachao" or 'save democracy', drew prominent Opposition figures like Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and Farooq Abdullah.

Amidst the rally, Sunita Kejriwal shared a letter from her husband, who is currently in Enforcement Directorate. The Aam Aadmi Party's National Convenor was arrested on March 21 for alleged misdoings in the now-scrapped Delhi Excise policy case under an ongoing money laundering probe by the ED. He is in ED custody till April 1.

2.    Free Electricity
3.    Revolutionising Education
4.    Universal Healthcare
5.    Fair Prices for Farmers
6.    Granting Full Statehood to Delhi

In his letter, Kejriwal expressed a deep concern for India's well-being and stressed the need for transformative changes. 

Arvind Kejriwal’s letter reads, "My dear Indians, all of you please accept the greetings of this son of yours, I am not asking for votes, I am not talking about defeating anyone to win the elections. I am talking about making India a new India. Our country has everything. I am in jail, here I get a lot of time to think. I think about Mother India, Mother India is in pain, when people do not get good education, without proper treatment, power cuts occur, roads are broken."

Meanhile, before reading out the message of Delhi CM Kejriwal, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's wife Sunita Kejriwal says, "Your own Kejriwal has sent a message for you from jail. Before reading this message, I would like to ask you something. Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi put my husband in jail, did the Prime Minister do the right thing? Do you believe that Kejriwal Ji is a true patriot and honest person? These BJP people are saying that Kejriwal ji is in jail, he should resign. Should he resign? Your Kejriwal is a lion, they will not be able to keep him in jail for long..."
