Haryana elections: In the run-up to the Assembly elections in Haryana, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday released its manifesto. The document, titled "Sankalp Patra," outlines 20 major commitments aimed at addressing various sectors, from employment to healthcare and infrastructure.

Here are the key points from the manifesto

Lado Lakshmi Scheme: Monthly financial assistance of Rs 2,100 to all women in the state

Industrial City Development: Establishment of 10 industrial cities, similar to IMT Kharkhoda, aimed at generating 50,000 jobs per city. Special incentives will be provided to entrepreneurs employing local youth.

Chirayu-Ayushman Scheme: Free healthcare coverage of up to Rs 10 lakh per family and an additional Rs 5 lakh coverage for senior citizens over the age of 70.

MSP for 24 crops: Purchase of 24 crops at declared Minimum Support Price (MSP).

Government Jobs for Youth: Creation of 2 lakh permanent government jobs under the ‘no slip, no bribe’ scheme.

Apprenticeships and Employment: Employment opportunities for 5 lakh youth and monthly stipends under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme.

Housing Scheme: Construction of 5 lakh housing units in both rural and urban areas.

Healthcare Initiatives: Free dialysis services in government hospitals and free diagnostics across all hospitals.

Olympic Nurseries: Establishment of Olympic sports nurseries in every district.

Affordable Cooking Gas: Under the "Every Household Homemaker" scheme, LPG cylinders will be provided at Rs 500.

Girls’ Education: Rural college-going girls will receive scooters under the Avval Balika scheme.

Agniveer Jobs: Guaranteed government jobs for every Haryana-based Agniveer.

Rail Connectivity: Construction of the KMP Orbital Rail Corridor in collaboration with the Central Government, alongside the introduction of new Vande Bharat trains.

Metro Services: Introduction of rapid rail services and intercity express metro between Faridabad and Gurugram in collaboration with the Central Government.

Welfare Boards for Marginalised Communities: Dedicated welfare boards with adequate budget allocations for backward communities, including the 36 biradaris.

Social Pensions: Increase in social pensions linked to DA (Dearness Allowance) using a scientific formula.

Education Scholarships: Full scholarships for Haryana-based OBC and SC students pursuing medical and engineering degrees in any government college across India.

Entrepreneurial Support: The state government will guarantee loans of up to Rs 25 lakh for OBC entrepreneurs, in addition to the Mudra scheme.

Global Education Hub: Plans to transform Haryana into a global education centre with modern skill training.

Aravalli Safari Park: Development of an international-level jungle safari park in southern Haryana's Aravalli region
