EC prohibits exit polls for Himachal Pradesh assembly elections

New Delhi, November 13: The Election Commission of India prohibited the conduct of exit polls and the publishing of exit poll results from November 12 to December 5, 2022.

The commission announced that conducting exit polls and publishing results will be prohibited from 8:00 a.m. on November 12 to 5.30 p.m. on December 5. On Saturday, Himachal Pradesh held elections for 68 constituency seats, with the counting of votes scheduled for December 8.

According to the Election Commission, the state had a voter turnout of around 74.54 percent.
