Congress questions Election Commission over delayed uploading of Haryana election trends
Congress leaders pointed out that while several rounds of counting had been completed, the EC was only updating trends for a limited number of rounds
PTC Web Desk: The Congress has raised concerns about the Election Commission's (EC) alleged slow uploading of trend data on its official website.
Congress leaders pointed out that while several rounds of counting had been completed, the EC was only updating trends for a limited number of rounds. AICC general secretary Jairam Ramesh took to social media, questioning, “Like the Lok Sabha elections, in Haryana we are again witnessing a slowdown in the uploading of up-to-date trends on the ECI website. Is the BJP trying to exert pressure on the administration by sharing outdated and misleading trends?” He tagged the EC in his post.
Congress media chairman Pawan Khera said even when 15 rounds of counting had been completed, only the initial rounds reflected on the EC's website. “Why is there this mismatch?” Khera asked, seeking clarity on the situation.
As of now, the Election Commission has not responded to the allegations made by the Congress party.
