Assembly Election Results 2024: In a major shift in early trends, BJP has taken lead for the first time since morning in Haryana. As of 10:22 am, BJP is leading in 46 seats while Congress in 36.
Earlier, Congress was leading in Haryana, being first to cross the halfway mark in Haryana. Its coalition with the National Conference (NC) has surpassed its archrival BJP in Jammu and Kashmir.
The counting of votes for assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana began at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
The J-K assembly election for 90 constituencies was held in three phases, on September 18, September 25, and October 1. Meanwhile, polling for the Haryana Assembly's 90 seats ended on October 5.

Uchana Kalan Assembly Constituency: Dushyant Chautala, former deputy chief minister of Haryana and a JJP leader, is running for the Uchana Kalan seat. His party was in an alliance with the BJP, but it pulled out months before the elections.
Jammu Kashmir Key Constituencies
One of the key constituencies is Gandebral, where Omar Abdullah of the National Conference is up against Independent candidate Sarjan Ahmad Wagay. In Bijbehara, the PDP's Iltija Mufti has been fielded.
In Sopore, Aijaz Ahmad Guroo, the brother of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru, is running as an Independent candidate. In Channapora, the JKAP's Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari is running. Muzaffar Hussain Baig is running as an Independent candidate in Baramulla.
Sajad Lone of the People's Conference is in Kupwara, and Chaudhary Mohammad Ramzan is in Handwara.
Devendra Singh Rana represents the BJP in Nagrota, whereas Tariq Hameed Karra of the INC is a candidate in Central Shalteng.
