AAP's Raghav Chadha updates X biography to 'Member of Parliament under Suspension'

PTC Web Desk: AAP politician Raghav Chadha on Saturday modified his profile on X to read 'Suspended Member of Parliament', a day after he was suspended from the Rajya Sabha. His suspension came about due to accusations of serious rule violations, misconduct, a defiant demeanor, and contemptuous behavior.

The suspension, pending a report from the privileges committee, followed a motion put forward by Leader of the House Piyush Goyal. The action was taken against AAP leader Raghav Chadha for including the names of certain Upper House members without their consent in a proposed select committee for the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023.

In a statement released on the evening of his suspension, Chadha remarked, "My suspension serves as a clear message from the BJP to the youth of today: If you dare to pose questions, we will silence your voice. I was suspended for posing tough questions that left the BJP unable to respond."
