'Modi ka sabse bada dar': AAP launches social media ‘DP campaign’ against Kejriwal's arrest
PTC News Desk: Continuing their protest against the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has launched a social media "DP (display picture) campaign.
On Monday, Delhi minister and AAP leader Atishi announced that all party leaders and volunteers had changed their profile pictures on X (formerly known as Twitter), Facebook, WhatsApp, and other social media accounts to one that showed Kejriwal behind bars. The image also bears the caption 'Modi Ka Sabse Bada Dar Kejriwal (Modi's biggest fear is Kejriwal)'.
"To spread Arvind Kejriwal's message to every household, the AAP today launched a 'DP campaign' across the country on social media. "Starting at 3 p.m., all AAP leaders and party workers will change their DPs," Atishi told the media.
Atishi also encouraged people to join the campaign and change their social media profile pictures to "save the constitution and democracy" in the country.
Atishi went on to say that Kejriwal is the only leader in the country capable of challenging PM Modi, so he was arrested by the ED without evidence shortly after the Lok Sabha elections were announced.
"The BJP framed Kejriwal in a fake case and used the ED to imprison him. Why is he (Arvind Kejriwal) incarcerated as soon as the election is announced?" the minister asked.
The Enforcement Directorate arrested Kejriwal on March 21 after his name appeared several times in the chargesheets related to the excise policy case. The ED summoned him nine times in the case, but he did not appear before the investigation agency.
