PM Modi inaugurates 'Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya'; buys first ticket

New Delhi, April 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated the 'Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya', a museum dedicated to all Indian Prime Ministers since Independence. Before the inauguration, the Prime Minister bought the first ticket to make his way inside the museum.
The "Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya" ticket costs Rs 100 if bought online and Rs 110 if purchased offline for Indians and Rs 750 for foreigners. Children between the ages of 5 and 12 will get a 50% discount on tickets bought both online and in person. Lok Kalyan Marg on the yellow line is the closest Metro station to "Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya." The college and school students will get a 25% discount on bookings made by the schools and colleges. Sangrahalaya is an inclusive initiative led by PM Modi and is aimed at sensitising and inspiring the younger generation about the leadership, vision and achievements of all Indian Prime Ministers. "Representing a seamless blend of the old and the new, the Sangrahalaya integrates the erstwhile Teen Murti Bhawan designated as Block I, with the newly constructed building designated as Block II. The total area of the two blocks is over 15,600 square metres," the PMO added. The museum's design is inspired by the story of rising India, shaped and moulded by the hands of its leaders. Sustainable and energy-saving techniques are incorporated into the design. During the project, no trees were felled or transplanted. The Sangrahalaya's logo depicts the hands of the people of India holding the Dharma Chakra, which represents the nation and democracy.
