Petrol, diesel prices touch all-time high [Check Latest Price]
Petrol and diesel prices in India today: The fuel rates in India continued to burn pocket of a common man as the rates hiked for the eighth consecutive day on Tuesday (February 16). The state-controlled oil marketing companies (OMCs) increased the petrol rate by 26-30 paise per litre while diesel price went up by 33-38 paise per litre across major cities of the country today. Likewise, the diesel price has jumped to Rs 79.70 per litre as compared to Rs 79.35 a litre on Monday. In the last eight days, petrol has gone up by Rs 2.36 per litre while diesel has increased by Rs 2.91 a litre in the national capital. With this, the petrol price in Delhi crossed Rs 89 per litre mark for the first time ever as Oil Marketing Companies continue to raise auto fuel prices in line with costs. In Kolkata, petrol price was increased by 29 paise to Rs 90.54 a litre, from Rs 90.25 on Monday. Diesel was at Rs 83.29 a litre, 35 paise more than Monday’s price.
