Number of visitors at Mussoorie’s Kempty falls capped, time limit set
After a huge number of tourists rushed to Mussoorie’s Kempty falls and violated COVID-19 protocols, the district administration has capped the number of tourists. Hence, only 50 tourists will be allowed to bathe while only 30 minutes would be permissible. The decision to impose new restrictions was taken after a video went viral in which many tourists were seen flouting all the COVID-19 guidelines while enjoying a bath at the Mussoorie’s famous Kempty Falls. The tourists in large numbers visited Kempty falls and were having a bath without face masks and maintaining social distancing protocols. It is worth mentioning here that Uttarakhand reported its first case of the Delta Plus variant in the Udham Singh Nagar district. According to the Additional Chief Medical Officer of Udham Singh Nagar Avinash Khanna, the person had visited Dineshpur. He has already returned to Lucknow. In the last few days, several pictures emerged from Himachal Pradesh's Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala wherein tourists in large numbers were seen blatantly flouting Covid-19 appropriate behaviour. -PTC News
