No proposal to bring Petrol, Diesel under GST yet: Centre informs Lok Sabha

Petrol and Diesel Prices in India: Ahead of the Monsoon Session of the Parliament, the Central Government on Monday said that there has been no proposal to bring petrol and diesel under GST yet. The inclusion of these products in GST will require the recommendation of the GST Council, it added. They remained unchanged on Monday, July 19 across the metro cities for the second consecutive day. In Delhi, petrol was being sold at Rs 101.84 per litre and diesel rates were unchanged at Rs 89.87 per litre. In Mumbai, the petrol prices were at 107.83 per litre and diesel was at Rs 97.45. Petrol, diesel prices fall for fifth day in row Meanwhile, the RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said that there was inflation everywhere. Poor, middle-class people and farmers were distressed, he said.
