Chandigarh, June 23: The anti-terror federal probe agency, National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday conducted searches at seven locations in Punjab including Ludhiana, Ferozepur and Gurdaspur districts related to Haryana’s Karnal IED seizure case last month. NIA has also seized documents and digital equipment, details of financial transactions and properties and other incriminating documents belonging to terrorist Harvinder Singh alias Rinda. Also Read: Delhi LG suspends 2 SDMs, official posted in CM office on corruption charges NIA senior official also said that, “During the investigation, it was found that Pakistan-based operative of the BKI (Babar Khalsa International) Harvinder Singh @Rinda, had coordinated the delivery of explosives, arms and ammunition at the behest of Pakistan’s intelligence agencies for carrying out terror attacks in different parts of India, in connivance with the arrested accused.” As per the sources, last month, during the investigation at Batrara Toll Plaza Madhuban in Karnal district of Haryana several arms and ammunitions were recovered. Three IEDs, one pistol, two magazines, 31 live rounds, six mobile phones and Rs 1.30 lakh were seized and four persons apprehended by the authorities.
