New Zealand suspends entry of travellers from India amid its second wave of coronavirus
Amid the second wave of coronavirus in India, New Zealand has temporarily suspended the entry for all travellers from India, including its own citizens, following a high number of positive cases arriving from the country.
The development comes after New Zealand reported 23 new cases of coronavirus at its border on Thursday. Of these 25 new cases, 17 were from India.

"We are temporarily suspending entry into New Zealand for travellers from India," Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern informed the nation during a news conference in Auckland.
India is, currently, dealing with the deadly second wave of coronavirus with daily new cases passing the peak of the first wave seen last September.

The suspension in NZ will begin from 1600 local time on April 11. The order will remain in force until April 28. During this, the government will keep on checking the risk management measures to resume travel.
