Wellington (New Zealand), April 21: New Zealand recorded 10,294 new community cases of Covid-19 on Thursday, the country's Ministry of Health informed. Of the new community infections, 2,274 were detected in the largest city of Auckland, as per the ministry. In addition, 66 new cases of Covid-19 were detected at the New Zealand border. According to the country's Ministry of Health, the locations of the new community cases are - Northland (448), Auckland (2,274), Waikato (751), Bay of Plenty (424), Lakes (203), Hawke’s Bay (362), MidCentral (413), Whanganui (153), Taranaki (331), Tairāwhiti (93), Wairarapa (131), Capital and Coast (633), Hutt Valley (325), Nelson Marlborough (368), Canterbury (1,682), South Canterbury (241), Southern (1,346), West Coast (110), Unknown (6). The ministry also reported 18 more deaths from coronavirus infection, taking New Zealand’s Covid death toll to 633. New Zealand has logged 858,576 confirmed cases of Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in the country. So far, 4,026,305 first doses of the Covid vaccine have been administered in the country, while 3,977,092 second jabs are given. As many as 31,646 third primary doses are administered, 2,617,033 booster doses, 260,678 paediatric first doses and 107,089 paediatric second doses are given in New Zealand to date.
