World Athletics Championship 2022: Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra bagged a historic silver medal as he secured an 88.13-meter throw in Men's Javelin final on Sunday. Neeraj is the second Indian track and field athlete to bag a podium finish, following the legendary long jumper Anju Bobby George, who came third in the 2003 World Championships in Paris. Neeraj is the first Indian track and field athlete to win a medal at the World Championships. Where Anderson Peters, once again, became the champion, Jakub Vadlejch finished third. Neeraj Chopra's 88.13m throw in his fourth attempt. This is, however, still short of his personal best - the Olympic-winning throw of 89.94m.
