Happy Birthday CM Yogi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath turns 51 on Monday. Born on June 5, 1972, in Panchur, a small town in Uttarakhand's Pauri Garhwal district, Adityanath assumed the role of Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in March 2017.
Before becoming the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Adityanath served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Gorakhpur for five consecutive terms from 1998 to 2017.
In addition to his political career, Adityanath holds the position of head priest at the Gorakhnath Math-- a Hindu temple located in Uttar Pradeah's Gorakhpur.

Infrastructure: UP has the best infrastructure.
Metros: The highest number of metros in the country is in UP, running in five districts and soon Agra will also have metro connectivity.
Airports: Regarding the total number of airports in the state, when the government came in 2017, only two airports were functional, whereas the airports in Gorakhpur and Agra were partial. Today, a total of 9 airports are functional while nine are in process.
River: UP got the gift of the world's longest river cruise. Eastern Uttar Pradesh always regrets that there was no medium to connect with water, but today Yogi Government have connected the eastern port from Banaras to Haldia
Rural Economy: UP Government made an unprecedented contribution to improving the rural economy by implementing a multi-pronged strategy. This includes promoting agricultural exports through digital payments, ensuring that farmers benefit directly from Mandis, investing in rural infrastructure and irrigation, and supporting private investment in rural areas without bias or preference.
Employment Opportunities: UP Government created much-needed employment opportunities in rural areas, while also improving the quality of life for residents. The provision of basic amenities such as electricity, water supply, and sanitation has helped to bridge the gap between rural and urban areas.
Pension: The state is number one in giving the benefits of the Atal Pension Yojana and in Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana. There are 96 lakh units of MSMEs in Uttar Pradesh, the highest in the country, which serve as the industrial cornerstone of the state.
Agriculture: Uttar Pradesh is also number one in food grain production in the country.
Housing: In the last six years, 52,77,000 houses have been sanctioned in rural and urban areas under the PM Awas Yojana while over one lakh houses have been sanctioned under the CM Awas Yojana.
E-prosecution systems: Uttar Pradesh is number one in the use of e-prosecution systems. UP is also the number one state in milk production.
