Ahmedabad: As the excitement builds for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 final between India and Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on Sunday, Akasa Air Airlines has issued a travel advisory regarding potential flight delays due to airspace closure in Ahmedabad.

Akasa Air alerted passengers that flights arriving and departing from Ahmedabad might experience delays on November 19, 2023, between 13:15 hrs and 14:10 hrs due to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 finals.

The advisory recommended travellers account for possible heavy road traffic caused by fans traveling to the match venue. Passengers were advised to plan for extra travel time and reach the airport at least 3 hours before their flight's departure.


For passengers opting not to travel due to these circumstances, Akasa Air offered the option to rebook on an available alternate flight within the next seven days at no additional cost. Passengers could avail this by contacting the Akasa Care Centre at 91 9606 112131.

The final showdown between India and Australia promises a gripping clash at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium. India aims for their third World Cup triumph while Australia eyes their sixth title victory.
