Deepa Devi's mango shake plans turned into a nightmare when she discovered a frozen centipede inside the ice cream tub

Noida : Imagine purchasing an ice cream to indulge in its delightful frozen flavours, only to be surprised by the discovery of an insect inside. 

This scenario unfolded in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, where a woman found a frozen centipede inside an ice cream tub she had ordered online.

In a chilling tale of unexpected discoveries, incidents involving  a human finger found ice cream online from Yummo Ice Creams reported from Mumbai, another dreadful incident from Uttar Pradesh’s Noida have recently shaken consumers, raising serious concerns about food safety and quality control.

Resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Noida, Deepa Devi recently experienced a harrowing incident when she was set to make out a refreshing mango shake for her young son using Amul Vanilla Magic ice cream, ordered online from Blinkit.

Instead of the anticipated treat, her plans turned into a nightmare when she discovered a frozen centipede inside the ice cream tub. 

The incident unfolded in Sector 12 of Uttar Pradesh's Noida, was captured on video by Deepa, whose shock and disbelief resonated widely after the footage went viral on social media.

The video displays an unused ice cream tub at the beginning of the video. Then she lifts the top to  reveal a frozen centipede attached.


 

In the video, Deepa Devi said, “Oh my God! Yeh maine bachon ke liye mango shake banane ke liye Blinkit se thodi der pehle yeh Amul ka ice cream mangwaya hai. Yehi abhi mangaya hai maine, yeh box full hai. Isme yeh kankhajura mila hai mujhe. Yeh pura jama pada hua hai ice cream pe.” 

Deepa quickly complained to Blinkit, and the online retailer reimbursed her for the ₹ 195 she had paid for the ice cream. She has also been reassured by Blinkit that the issue has been raised to Amul for additional research.

Furthermore, Deepa mentioned in her social media post that while the online delivery platform refunded her money after she filed a complaint, she has not received any communication from the ice cream manufacturer regarding the incident.

This incident comes shortly after another disturbing case in Mumbai,  involving a human finger found in ice cream from Mumbai. A woman from Malad's suburbs ordered the cone ice cream online from Yummo Ice Creams, but was taken aback when she unwrapped it.
