New Delhi: The managing director and CEO of Parsvnath Developers Private Limited Sanjeev Jain was arrested by the Delhi Police Special Task Force (STF) following a high-speed chase that covered 60 kilometers and ended at Delhi International Airport.
The pursuit began after Jain allegedly attempted to evade arrest, leading to his capture at the airport. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Surendra Choudhary confirmed that Jain was arrested on Saturday by the STF team from Shahdara at IGI Airport.
This arrest followed non-bailable warrants issued against him due to his failure to appear before the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.
The warrants were issued in connection with a consumer complaint filed by Rajat Babbar in 2017.
Jain had multiple pending warrants, including four non-bailable and one bailable, at the Shahdara police station.
