PTC News Desk: A swollen Ganga, flowing above the danger level, has engulfed at least ten houses in Bihar's Mamalkha village. Now viral videos show three of the buildings falling into the river and crumbling before disappearing in seconds.

One of the videos shows the two-storey house, about half of which is submerged, slowly sliding forward and eventually drowning. A boat can be seen in the background while this happens. The video is only around 30 seconds long, showing how quickly the building sank beneath the water.

In the other two videos, a portion of one of the smaller houses suffers the same fate, but the back remains intact.

According to the Bihar District Management Department, around 12 districts along the Ganga are facing flood-like conditions, affecting over 13.5 lakh people in low-lying areas. According to reports, more than 376 village panchayats have been affected, with many residents being relocated to camps.

Patna, Bhagalpur, Buxar, Bhojpur, Saran, Vaishali, Samastipur, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, Katihar, Khagaria, and Munger are the 12 districts that have been affected.

On Monday, Bihar Additional Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit met with officials from 12 districts to look into the situation and ensure they are prepared to deal with it if the water level increases further.
