PTC News Desk: Four labourers from Nepal tragically lost their lives in a landslide triggered by heavy rains at Phata village in Uttarakhand, officials reported on Friday.

The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) successfully recovered the bodies of the victims from beneath the landslide debris. According to Rudraprayag Disaster Management Officer Nandan Singh Rajwar, authorities were alerted to the incident near a 'khat gadera' (rainwater pond) in the village at approximately 1:20 a.m., prompting an immediate deployment of a rescue team to the site.

The area had experienced intense rainfall the previous night, which contributed to the landslide. The victims, all residents of Nepal, were identified as Tul Bahadur, Purna Nepali, Kishna Parihar, and Chiku Bura.
