Two days prior, approximately 80 students from the school experienced severe symptoms of stomach pain, vomiting, and diarrhea after consuming a meal provided by the school. Out of these, 61 students remain hospitalised at Deoria Medical College.

District Magistrate Divya Mittal expressed her deep sorrow over the incident and assured that the hospitalized students are in stable condition and will be discharged soon. Initially admitted to Maharshi Deoraha Baba Medical College in Deoria, Shivam's condition was stable at first.
