UP: Hostel brawl takes ugly turn; pistols, live bombs recovered after raid at room

Uttar Pradesh, August 20: Police found two pistols and 30 live bombs from a hostel in Prayagraj district late Saturday night, officials said.

According to police sources, a scuffle between two boys occurred during the day, prompting a raid on room 57 at the hostel in the middle of the night.

When the boys saw the cops, they fled the room.

Police then found two pistols and 30 live explosives while investigating the room.

Significantly, an accused in the murder of Umesh Pal, a key witness in the murder of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Raju Pal, had been arrested from the same hostel.
