The passenger was travelling from Churchgate to Virar.
When Chief Ticket Inspector Jasbir Singh found that the passenger did not have an AC local ticket, he asked him to pay a fine. The passenger, identified as Aniket Bhosale, began arguing about the fee, which quickly grew into a violent confrontation.
A video of the incident shows him and other passengers arguing with Singh. They also allegedly ripped the ticket inspector's clothes.
Singh suffered injuries during the fight and lost Rs 1,500, which he had collected as a fine from other passengers.
He stated the train was stopped at Borivali station due to the incident. An officer at the station stated that he asked Bhosale to get off the train, but he refused. He was finally removed from the train at Nalasopara station by Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel.
Bhonsale eventually accepted the mistake and submitted a written apology, stating that an FIR against him would jeopardise his career. He even paid Rs 1,500 to Singh which he had lost in the commotion.
