PTC News Desk: Three traffic policemen in Delhi were suspended after CCTV footage captured them dividing bribe money at a police checkpost in Gazipur on Saturday. The video, which has since gone viral on social media, shows a series of incriminating events involving the officers.

In the footage, one of the officers is seen engaged in a conversation with a man inside the police checkpost at Thrill Lauri Circle. During the interaction, the officer discreetly signals to the man, who then places a bundle of money on a table behind the officer. The officer remains on alert while the man departs.

Once the coast is clear, the officer sits down and begins counting the money. The video then shifts to show the three officers sitting together, with the initial officer dividing the money among them. The two other officers smile as they receive their share.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena responded to the video on X (formerly Twitter), announcing that the three officers—two Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) and one Head Constable—had been suspended. "Taking cognizance of this post, after preliminary investigation, the above three policemen have been suspended and a comprehensive departmental inquiry is being conducted against them," Saxena stated.
