Viral: Fruit seller caught on video urinating near handcart, draws public ire

PTC Web Desk:  A video that has gone viral has ignited public fury after it showed a fruit vendor in Dombivli, Thane,  Maharashtra, urinating into a plastic bag placed on his handcart before continuing to sell fruits without washing his hands. The local police have registered an FIR against the vendor following the outrage.

The footage reveals the vendor, identified as 20-year-old Ali Khan, carrying out the act and resuming his business without taking any hygiene measures. Khan operates his fruit stall in the Lodha area of Nilje village, Dombivli.

The video has deeply upset residents, who expressed their anger by vandalising Khan's fruit cart shortly after the clip surfaced online. A crowd gathered at his stall, destroying his stock and physically assaulting him in a fit of rage. The incident caught the attention of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), led by Raj Thackeray, who has since demanded stricter measures against unauthorised hawkers in the area.

The police arrested Khan and have begun investigating the matter.
