Jawan martyred, 6 injured as terrorists open fire at Army camp in J-K's Doda, 3rd terror attack in three days

Terrorists attacked an army base in Jammu and Kashmir's Chattargala late last night, after which an encounter is on between terrorists and security forces in Doda.

PTC Web Desk: Terrorists attacked an army base in  Jammu and Kashmir's Chattargala late last night, after which an encounter is on between terrorists and security forces in Doda. Five soldiers and a special police officer (SPO) have been injured in the shootout while a jawan belonging to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was killed in action.

According to police, two soldiers were injured in the shootout.

This is the third such incident in Jammu in three days, following terrorist attacks in Kathua that injured a civilian and on a bus carrying pilgrims in Reasi that killed nine passengers.

A terrorist was also killed in an encounter in Kathua last night, according to Anand Jain, Additional Director General of Police, Jammu Zone, who is in charge of the anti-terrorist operation.

On the Doda incident, he stated that terrorists opened fire on a joint party of police and Rashtriya Rifles at an army base in the Chattargala area late last night. He stated that an encounter was taking place between security troops and militants in the higher reaches.
