Sanjay Singh, a Member of Parliament from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), had been arrested in connection with the case on October 4 previous year after questioning him for over 10 hours at his Delhi home in connection with a money laundering case involving the Delhi liquor policy.

In his bail plea before the high court, Singh cited being in custody for more than three months and asserted that he was not implicated in the underlying offense.

The investigative agency opposed Singh's bail application in the high court, alleging his involvement in acquiring, possessing, concealing, dissipating, and utilizing proceeds of the crime linked to the Delhi liquor scam for the policy period of 2021-22.
