PTC News Desk: A 21-year-old engineering student has been arrested for reportedly recording videos of girls students in a college restroom near Bengaluru. Students at the ACS College of Engineering in Kumbalgodu said that the accused recorded videos on his mobile phone and shared them on social media.

Massive protests occurred in the college as the news broke, prompting the police to rush in to control the situation.

The officers assured them that the accused, a seventh-semester Computer Science student, would face serious consequences.

According to police sources, the accused recorded around 7-8 videos on his mobile device, which were discovered by fellow students.

Students claimed the accused had also threatened to kill them if they escalated the issue. They further claimed that he might be a repeat offender.

Last month, there was a huge uproar in Andhra Pradesh after some students allegedly found a hidden camera in a women's toilet at an engineering college.

A case has been filed in connection with the alleged incident at the SR Gudlavalleru Engineering College in Krishna district. However, the police stated that no such hidden cameras were located in the students' washroom.
